Aha, okay... but it looks quite the same. I'll check it out when I visit Las Vegas next september. I'll be staying at the Monte Carlo, wich is next-door to City-Centre, from september 23rd untill october 3rd. Plenty of time to see it myself...

Thanks for your kind answer!

Ralph, the Cosmopolitan will be a neighbouring resort to City Center, sitting between it and the Bellagio. It's a a separate resort from City Center, though.

I assume (according to the pictures and your writing, that the Cosmopolitan and City Centre are on the exact same location. Or am I mistaken?

[...] Just when you thought you’d seen all the new mega-hotels that are under construction in Vegas, up pops another one! The Fontainebleau will be a $2.8 billion condo hotel and casino that will add yet more rooms, convention space and shopping (of course!) to what is an already seemingly overcrowded city.
[...] Don’t cry for The Frontier too much, though. It’s not a pleasant place, and what’s replacing it should help make the north side of the strip as popular as the south side. The Montreux will be a giant $2.6 billion resort containing 2,750 rooms, and featuring a Swiss theme and jazz throughout. It’ll even come with a huge 450 foot tall observation wheel, currently called the Las Vegas Eye as it’s based on the London Eye, and giving fantastic views across the strip.
